Dr. Ryan Montgomery - San Angelo & Brownwood, TX

Dr. Montgomery was born and raised in the small town of Jefferson, Texas. He graduated from the University of Texas as a College Scholar. He then obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He graduated with magna cum laude honors and a distinction in research. After dental school, Dr. Montgomery chose to train in a six-year residency program in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Louisville – one of the top programs in the country. He was fortunate enough to train under two leaders in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. George Kushner and Dr. Brian Alpert. Dr. Montgomery also attended medical school and obtained his Doctor of Medicine while in Louisville, Kentucky. During his residency, Dr. Montgomery gained extensive training in the broad scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery. This included dentoalveolar surgery and wisdom teeth extractions, intravenous sedation and general anesthesia, complex bone grafting and dental implant therapy – including full mouth reconstruction, facial trauma, pathology and facial reconstruction, orthognathic surgery and cleft lip and palate treatment.

Dr. Montgomery is passionate about oral surgery and taking great care of his patients. He also cares deeply for the underserved. He volunteers on maxillofacial surgical mission trips operating on some the poorest people in the world. He has been to Ethiopia, Swaziland, Belize, Haiti, Guatemala, and Mexico with different organizations. He is a small town person at heart and chose to live in San Angelo because of the family atmosphere it offers. He has been married to his wife, Randi for nine years. After working for ten years as a registered nurse in pediatric oncology she chooses to now stay at home and raise their children, Gavin, Madeline, Marion, and Millie. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, anything outdoors including hunting and fishing, and most sports.
